America’s longest-running music festival kicks off with a free performance curated by the Bluegrass Standard, featuring bluegrass legends The Grascals, Southern Legacy, and Becky Buller & Ned Luberecki. Bluegrass Night at the Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival celebrates Mississippi’s contributions to Bluegrass and America’s musical traditions.
This program is part of By the People: Conversations Beyond 250, a series of community-driven programs created by humanities councils in collaboration with local partners. The initiative was developed by the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage.
