Open Book is a dialogue-centered program from Humanities Iowa and CultureALL that invites participants to reflect on history, culture, and civic life through conversations with culture bearers from their own communities. Events at Grinnell College and Drake University are open to the public. Contact Iowa Humanities for more details.

These programs are part of By the People: Conversations Beyond 250, a series of community-driven programs created by humanities councils in collaboration with local partners. The initiative was developed by the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage.
