Pennsylvania Humanities Council will work with its civic engagement partners in Chester and Carlisle, PA to develop programs that focus on how journalists, artists, historians, and residents engaged in community development projects tell a community’s story and motivate change. Through storytelling and conversation, the council seeks to provide insight into the roles grassroots organizations can play in revealing the complex truths of community and for community members to better understand the tools and perspectives journalists bring to exploring these same subjects.

Elements of the project include facilitated community meetings, which will be recorded by radio journalists for broadcast on partner stations, edited for podcast release and re-aired as segments for local, regional, and national release.
