#HumCitizen: Grabbing Your Attention – Informed Citizen’s Guide to Visual and Media Literacy

This project explores the topic of media literacy through the examination of visual expressions such as editorial cartooning and graphic novels. Public programs, workshops for teachers and the public, and two web-based projects investigate how we interpret visual information and how visual images expand, distort, or manipulate our understanding of an issue.
