The NJCH 2019-2020 Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program will be Water/Ways, a portable exhibition that explores how water shapes our ways of life.

Water/Ways is a portable exhibition developed by the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program that is designed especially for sites with limited access to traveling exhibitions. The exhibit will tour six New Jersey communities from July 2019 to April 2020. Applications to host the exhibit are now closed.

The “Water/Ways” exhibit reveals the central nature of water on our lives by exploring how Americans use water, how water unites communities, how water affects every element of life, and how Americans care for our water and protect this valuable resource for the future.
