This program is aimed at promoting knowledge of the humanities in the public schools and the community in Puerto Rico by sponsoring lectures on humanities topics. These lectures are presented by humanities experts with excellent academic preparation and experience in their respective fields of study.
The Lecturers Program is divided into two parts:
- Sessions coordinated through the Endowment – The FPH has a speakers bureau of humanists who offer talks about a variety of topics in the schools, the community, municipal offices, cultural centers, etc.
- Sessions through the University Dialogues Program – Several universities in Puerto Rico have an agreement with the FPH to offer conferences in the public and private schools of their surrounding communities. The schools interested in having speakers contact the universities directly and they coordinate the conferences offered by the professors from their institutions.
