Working with the Salt Lake City Tribune, the University of Utah, and the Salt Lake City Public Library, Utah Humanities will create a variety of public programs examining media literacy, investigative journalism, and the future of journalism.

Colson Whitehead in Utah, Guest Writer Series – Salt Lake City, UT – Award-winning author Colson Whitehead joined the Guest Writer Series, a program by the University of Utah, Utah Humanities, and The City Library on March 15, 2018. Whitehead is a #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Underground Railroad, which won a 2016 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction and the National Book Award, among others.
