PROGRAM: Mississippi Book Festival

Since its first year in 2015, the Mississippi Book Festival has become the state’s premier literary event, and the Mississippi Humanities Council plays an active role in supporting the festival. The 2017 Mississippi Book Festival boasts more than 150 authors participating on 38 official panels, along with plenty of other events that will appeal to the entire family. Festival admission is free. Authors on official panels will discuss their works, covering topics such as Mississippi’s musical heritage, southern fiction, short stories, history and biography, and many more.
