From June 2018 through February 2019, Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities will be hosting the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street Water/Ways.

Louisiana has a unique relationship to water and LEH and the Smithsonian can now offer communities a new way to explore the myriad ways water affects our lives. The tour will visit six sites and will feature scholar Dr. Craig E. Colten of LSU Department of Geography and Anthropology.

The council is now accepting applications from libraries, museums, and cultural institutions in towns of fewer than 20,000 residents to host this tour!

The tour in Louisiana is made possible in part by a grant from the Walton Family Foundation.
