PROGRAM: Indigenous Dance – Restoring Our Environment: Dancing Earth in Guam

From Oct. 9 to Oct. 14, the council is bringing to Guam the indigenous intertribal dance company Dancing Earth for the performance tour, “Indigenous Dance: Restorying Our Environment – Dancing Earth in Guam.” This tour represents an opportunity to preserve and promote indigenous Chamoru culture, the unique island environment, and cross-cultural sharing and exchange. The tour will feature two free community performance and talk events on Oct. 10 and Oct. 12, and conclude with “An Evening of Dining and Dance featuring Dancing Earth & Natibu Dance Academy” on Oct. 14 at the Hyatt Regency Guam.
