In celebration of the centennial of the Pulitzer Prizes, this project explores journalism and the civil rights movement in Georgia and the South. Georgia Humanities Council created a digital exhibition, Look Forward, highlighting the significant public impact of Pulitzer-winning journalists whose “race beat” coverage impacted the modern civil rights movement. Interviews with journalism historians and with Pulitzer winners themselves, oral histories, and other historical resources are included in the exhibition.
Look Forward was created by the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication of the University of Georgia in partnership with Georgia Humanities.
