In 2016, the LEH hosted “Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America,” a Museum on Main Street exhibit that captures the stories that unfold on the neighborhood fields and courts, and the underdog heroics, larger-than-life-legends, fierce rivalries and gut wrenching defeats.

The 2016 sites were:

  • Old Post Office Museum, Winnsboro (March 19 to April 30, 2016)
  • Claiborne Parish Library, Homer (May 7 to June 18, 2016)
  • Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum, Natchitoches (June 25 to Aug. 6, 2016)
  • Lincoln Parish Library, Ruston (Aug. 13 to Sept. 24, 2016)
  • Southern Forest Heritage Museum & Research Center, Long Leaf (Oct. 1 to Nov. 12, 2016)
  • Abita Springs Trailhead Museum, Abita Springs (Nov. 19, 2016 – Jan. 1, 2017)
