Kids Reading Across Rhode Island (KRARI) is a partnership between the Rhode Island Center for the Book, the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services, public libraries, and school libraries that connects school and summer reading to support a love of reading and learning in Rhode Island children. In 2015, the Center for the Book dramatically expanded the program’s reach to new and underserved audiences through increased outreach, innovative uses of technology and media, and new partnerships. KRARI was transformed from a small program to a movement promoting the importance and fun of summer reading.
This program is nominated for the 2016 Schwartz Prize. Check out their nomination here.
