Competitive Grants are awarded for public humanities projects around the state. These projects demonstrate a wide variety of humanities disciplines and formats and address important community issues. Competitive Grant applications are reviewed by the UH Board annually in April. Funds for Competitive Grants are made possible through the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Competitive Grants are awarded up to $5,000. Projects must begin on or after May 1. The required draft application is due February 1 and final applications are due March 15. Applicants are notified by May 1.
