Careful planning is the key to a successful public humanities project. When the Connecticut Humanities Planning Grants are available, they can be used to consult with scholars, research, and refine humanities themes, develop program and exhibit designs, and create the organizing framework of the project.

Ideas can involve an exhibition, lecture series, community-wide conversation, cultural celebration, public conference or some other way to engage the public in exploring the human experience.

Only a few of these grants remain for 2017.
