Humanities Texas grants enable communities throughout the state to develop programs of local interest promoting heritage, culture, and education. Humanities Texas has awarded more than 2,500 grants supporting a wide range of public humanities programs, including lectures, oral history projects, museum exhibitions, teacher institutes, reading programs, and documentary films.
Mini-grants fund up to $1,500 of the costs associated with public humanities programs. These small grants, which are easy to apply for and administer, are particularly appropriate for funding a speaker or the rental of a traveling exhibition, including those provided by Humanities Texas. Applications for these grants are accepted on a rolling basis.
