The Michigan Humanities Council Humanities Grants emphasize collaboration among cultural, educational, and community-based organizations and institutions in order to serve Michigan’s people with public humanities programming. These grants play a vital role in defining culture, place, community, and Michiganites, and are intended to connect citizens to Michigan’s rich cultural heritage and historical resources through initiatives that help the people of the state reason together and learn from one another.
The maximum request for the Humanities Grants is $15,000. Funding is based on available resources and awards may be less than the total amount requested. There is a match requirement.
Deadline for Fall 2017 Grants (Awards made in November): August 2017
