The Delaware Humanities Forum (DHF) provides financial support for public humanities programs through its Grant Programs. Public programs that are sponsored by nonprofit organizations in Delaware are eligible for funding. Here’s a list of institutions that are eligible to apply for these grants:

  • Colleges & Universities
  • Libraries
  • Historical Societies
  • Museums
  • Educational Television and Radio Stations
  • Research Institutes
  • Professional Associations
  • Agencies of State and Local Government
  • Labor Unions
  • Other Community and Service Organizations

Applicants may use any presentation format to stage their program – provided the program promises to bring the humanities to a wide public audience.

Regular Grants available range from $3,000 to $15,000 for projects in any topic and format. Extensive planning and preparation, and a draft application outlining the intended project are required. Click the button for more information.


First Round:

April 1, 2017 – Draft Proposal
May 16, 2017 – Final Proposal (decision will be made by June 30, 2017)

Second Round:

October 3, 2017 – Draft Proposal
November 15, 2017 – Final Proposal (decision will be made by January 30, 2018)
