Project Grants provide funding of up to $5,000 to nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and government entities seeking to facilitate humanities projects and programs that promote community engagement with various issues. These programs should help perpetuate and disseminate Nevada culture and heritage, improve quality of life, enhance education, and enrich life and thought. Examples of programs eligible for funding include:
- Media programs and documentaries
- Forums and discussions
- Research or scholarly projects with public components
- Educational initiatives and programs
Project Grant applications are due on March 10th of each year. Applicants may not request funds in amounts that exceed more than 50% of the total cost of the proposed project. In addition, the project must start no earlier than the following July 1st and must be completed before June 30th of the next year.
