GRANT: MO Mini Grants

Mini Grants provide funding of up to $2,500 to organizations seeking to facilitate humanities-centered programs. These programs may take a variety of formats but should promote interaction between public audiences and humanities experts such as scholars, authors, and educators. Examples of programs eligible for funding include:

  • Interpretive exhibits
  • Content-based website enhancements
  • Living history and museum theater presentations that include interpretive elements
  • Presentations in the creative and performing arts that include humanities-based discussion
  • Teachers’ workshops in the humanities
  • Panel discussions and other types of public forums on humanities-related topics
  • Media and publication projects that support the mission of a humanities-based organization or institution

Mini Grant requests are reviewed four times a year. Organizations should submit their application by the first work day of February, May, August, or November. An organization’s proposed program should begin no earlier than 60 days after the submission deadline.
