Illinois Humanities funds projects throughout the state that bring people together for inquiry and conversation – discussing and learning about the digital humanities, targeting and engaging new audiences, making public humanities programming more engaging and interactive, and increasing strategic planning and sustainable collaboration. These changes reflect the councils’ evolving commitment to exploring and supporting the public humanities.
Vision Grants are ($2,000) grants to Illinois nonprofit organizations to carry out planning projects related to their work in the humanities. These grants are intended for smaller organizations and applicants must have an annual budget of $1 million or less. The deadlines for this grant line are: January 15th, May 15th, and September 15th
