GameChanger 101 Grants provide up to $1,500 to organizations seeking to hold book or film discussion programs that focus on Pulitzer Prize-winning books and/or journalistic texts. The proposed program should involve a humanities scholar who agrees to teach participants to deeply engage with the text they are reading. Program discussions should address the vital importance of access to high caliber journalism and research as well as the public’s duty to use critical thinking skills to judge the reliability and credibility of news reports and information sources.
GameChanger 101 Grant applications can be submitted at any time, but the proposed program can start no earlier than six weeks after the submission date. Grant awards are based on the quality of books, films, and/or journalistic texts selected and the program’s ability to fulfill the NDHC’s mission and vision.
