Matthew Gibson is executive director of Virginia Humanities. Prior to his position as executive director, Gibson was Virginia Humanities’ director of Digital Initiatives and editor of Encyclopedia Virginia. Prior to joining Virginia Humanities in 2005, Matthew served as Associate Director of the University of Virginia Library’s Electronic Text Center. Gibson has a multitude of conference presentations and several publications to his credit, mostly in the field of digital library standards.
