Complimentary high-speed internet is available in guest rooms for all Marriott Rewards Members. As a courtesy to conference guests, discounted in-room WiFi is available for non-Marriott rewards members at a connection fee of $1.00/day per room.
The hotel has an onsite full-service business center, which is staffed and available to guests on the lobby level. Attendees can fax, copy, print as well as receive or make a shipment from the business center.
For local travelers, the hotel offers onsite, valet-only parking for a daily fee of $47.57 plus tax. One vehicle per room is allowed and it must not be taller than 5ft 9in. Parking is limited during special events.
The New Orleans Marriott offers several dining options including in-room dining, buffet breakfast ($24 per person), dinner delivery from local restaurants, and onsite dining from 5Fifty5 and 55 Fahrenheit. Coffee and tea are available in the guest room; however, guests can also find specialty beverages and treats from Starbucks located in the lobby and open daily from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is located 15.9 miles east of the New Orleans Marriott and is the recommended airport for the 2018 National Humanities Conference.
There are a number of transportation options to the conference hotel in the French Quarter from the airport including taxis, Uber, Lyft, and the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA).
Taxicab booths are located on the first level of the Terminal outside of Baggage Claim Belts 1 and 14. Passengers must wait in line at one of these booths for taxi service.
Taxi rides cost $36.00 from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) or French Quarter (west of Elysian Fields) for up to two (2) passengers. For three (3) or more passengers, the fare will be $15.00 per passenger.
Shuttle service is available from the airport to hotels and various other locations in the New Orleans for $24.00 (per person, one-way) or $44.00 (per person, round-trip). These fares include three (3) bags per person. Additional baggage may be subject to additional fees. Passengers can purchase tickets at the Airport at Airport Shuttle ticket booths located on the first level throughout the Baggage Claim area.
Uber and Lyft
Uber and Lyft offers transportation services from the Airport. Passengers can meet their driver outside of the Ground Transportation Center by crossing the pedestrian crosswalk located outside of Baggage Claim 6 on the first floor of the Short-Term Parking Garage. Regional Transit Authority (RTA)
The Airport Express to New Orleans (Louis Armstrong) International Airport offers nine (9) daily trips to and from the New Orleans Airport to support shift times for Airport employees working at the North Terminal Construction site and main Airport Terminal. Residents and visitors may also use the Airport Express for airline connections.
